There are two ways to become a Member of Sixty Collective:
Work with Sixty
Anyone who has worked with Sixty on a project, is part of Sixty’s core team, or has been an editorial contributor (writers, editors, photographers, illustrators, translators, transcribers), and also meets our eligibility requirements will be invited to become a Collective Member.
Receive a Nomination
Collective Members and Sixty’s past collaborators and partners can make recommendations for new Collective Members by filling out our nomination form. Calls for members open at set times throughout the year.
Eligibility Requirements
If you’re interested in becoming a member, you must meet the following requirements:
- Align with Sixty’s mission, core values, and the communities we prioritize.
- Have published with Sixty at least once.
- Worked on a Sixty project as an artist, archivist, or project team member.
- Receive an invitation from us after being nominated by one of Sixty’s partners or collaborators.
Ineligibilities
The following may disqualify you from joining Sixty Collective or result in being removed as a current Member:
- Consistently breaching Sixty’s core values and Community Agreements.
- Ghosting at any time. Inconsistent and unwieldy communication.
- Repeatedly missing deadlines w/ no communication.
- Unresolved patterns of causing harm within virtual and in person community spaces.
- Multiple examined, confirmed, and irreconcilable issues or complaints from collaborators or clients found through Sixty Collective.
